Random: To Isolate Yourself

There are billions of people in the world. We all have billions of ways of communicating with each other. Some people are very popular with others, and have up to hundreds of people to personally talk to. Others may have a small number of people, maybe around twenty or less people. When people are placed in a isolated area they may find themselves in a state of sadness. Some people, however, believe that they could sever all ties in human contact. Really, in this twenty-first century world contact is completely necessary in order to get the things that you want. My question from this is do you think you can cut yourself off from the billions of people on this planet, what kinda of problems would you run into, in your personal life doing so?
I thought i would answer my own question, just in case the question was not clear. If I had to isolate myself from the world, I think it would be a hard thing to do. I, knowing myself, require at least one living thing, such as a person or pet. If I don't have someone I feel comfortable to talk to, all the emotional trials us as human have to go through will pile up, and possibly send us to a state of depression. Since I am a student in school, if I have a question I have to speak and get the answer from a teacher. So, in my life it is impossible to isolate myself completely.

Slavery Worksheets

Throughout the history of Georgia there have been various racial problems. January eleventh of 2012 there was a worksheet given out to a class of third graders. On the worksheets there were very inappropriate math questions. An example of one of the math problems was "each tree had 56 oranges. If 8 slaves picked them equally, then how much would each slave pick?" This made some of the students parents very uncomfortable and upset Some parents told their children not to even do the assignment. When I heard about this occurrence i was made a little uncomfortable because it was very insensitive to the subject of matter. It was told that the teacher was trying to use the process of cross-curriculum, or incorporating two subjects in one. In my opinion the teacher that created this worksheet could have did better with his examples, because the crossing between history and math, the history portion was not very beneficial. Instead it was very violent and grotesque. In the end I believe the teacher was forced to resign, which i believe was necessary.
