When a person dies is it right to remember them by the good or the bad things they did in their life? To me I believe that when a person dies you should try your best to remember what they did positive in life. i think that if you think of all the negative things then you are only adding more negativity to your own life.
As we all know the singer/actor star, Whitney Houston, died on feb 11, 2012. Due to this the president, Barack Obama, made a speach to express his condolences. In his speach he basicly said that Whitney was one of the best singers he had ever heard. I think that people were just giving him a hard time, but some did not like that he said this about her, knowing her past addiction to drugs. My question is, what does having a drug addiction have to do with your talent of singing? But I think Obama said the right thing, because your not soppose to say anything negative while giving your condolances about a person that has just died.
I also think that in order to avoid this situation Obama could nat have given his personal opinion. He could have said some thing like "I am sorry to the family of Whitney Houston, and you will be in prayers." I think this could have caused less of a problem for some of the people, but since he is the president I think some people would have still had a problem with whatever he says. In the end, I do not have a problem with what he said. Now, I want to know what you think. How would you feel about a person that had "dirt" on their past, and died? And do you feel about What obama said about Whiney Houston?
